Tips for Buying Spanish Wine
We've really been getting into wines from Spain. Not only are they great values, but it?s amazing how the reds can provide so many tastes of Tempranillo.


So, Here are some tips on buying Spanish wines.


Spanish wine labels are pretty easy to decipher. They feature the producer?s name and the region along with an aging designation - Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva for younger, older and oldest in that order.


Others now include the grape variety too.


You may see the word Tinto. Tinto isn't a style it's simply the Spanish expression for a red wine, whether it's from Rioja, Ribera del Duero or any of the other forty designated wine regions. Don't be confused by Tinto and Toro.


Toro is a region in the northwest of the country and not another type of grape. And it tends to be deep, rich and flavorful red wine.
